A particularly elegant and spiritually resonant khaden, this antique Tibetan weaving unfolds as a field of quiet abundance, where floral symbolism and rhythmic structure exist in harmonious balance.

The central field is defined by large, stylised blossoms — evoking the lotus, with the fullness of peony forms — linked by flowing stems and cloud-like tendrils. Together, they create a continuous visual current, suggesting purity, renewal, and quiet prosperity expressed through repetition.

Encircling the field, the outer border design of small cross-like motifs introduces a subtle yet powerful talismanic presence. Beyond their geometric clarity, these forms act as protective devices — establishing a symbolic threshold that guards the inner composition from negative influences while reinforcing continuity and balance.

Narrow polychrome guard borders frame the piece, providing structure and contrast to the fluidity within.

Woven in resilient, lanolin-rich Himalayan wool, the rug retains a soft sheen and a supple presence, enhancing its quiet, enduring character.
