This antique Tibetan khaden reveals a harmonious and grounded composition, organised around three prominent circular medallions aligned along the vertical axis. Each medallion is richly articulated, combining geometric precision with floral softness, creating a compelling dialogue between structure and ornament.

The central motifs resemble stylised lotus rosettes enclosed within stepped geometric frames, a design language that blends Buddhist symbolism of purity and spiritual order with influences drawn from Central Asian and Chinese decorative traditions. The repetition of these medallions suggests continuity and balance, while the surrounding field — gently variegated — adds depth and a quiet sense of movement.
