An exercise in color and simplicity. Clearly intended for monastic use, the rich orange/gold color is unusual to be used in such abundance. The four swastikas in the corners compose the only real designs; the alternately opposed swastikas are drawn with no relevance to either the Bon-po or Buddhist version of this motif.

Given the clear abrash, it is likely the field color is derived from a natural dyestuff, possibly tumeric.
