This remarkable antique Tibetan rug is set against a soft camel-coloured background and showcases two opposing dragons, dramatically rendered in harmonious balance. Each dragon is well defined, with four-fingered claws grasping a flaming pearl — a potent symbol often associated with wisdom, spiritual energy, or the pursuit of enlightenment.

In an elegant counterpart, two phoenixes soar across the field, beautifully drawn with intricate detail and grace. These mythical birds, emblematic of rebirth and harmony, add a dynamic contrast to the power of the dragons.

The two flying celestial creatures are surrounded by stylized clouds, their sweeping curves and delicate formations reminiscent of motifs found in early Chinese silk textiles. These cloud forms evoke a sense of movement and transcendence, further enhancing the spiritual tone of the piece.
